Coomba All-Stars released their debut single ‘Arrawarra’ on the 24th Feb 2026 and it is available now on all streaming platforms.

‘Arrawarra’ is inspired by hanging out early on summer mornings at the Indigenous ancient fish traps situated off the headland of Arrawarra (Gumbaynggirr Country, Mid North Coast, NSW) after spending a night jamming around a campfire on the beach.

Arrawarra/Yee Warra has been a significant meeting place and sacred site for the Garby people of the Gumbaynggirr Nation for millennia.

The song was recorded/edited by Ian ‘Coomba’ Watson at Panic Room Studios, The Manor, Gadigal/Marrickville, mixed/edited by Nat Love at Kangaroo Moon Recording, Darkinjung/Gosford and mastered by William Bowden at King Willy Sound, Kanamaluka/Launceston.

Coomba All-Stars bring old world sonic architecture of Near East thought and Aryavarta musical philosophies mixed with the stylings of modern culture.

Creating a sonic landscape, rich in texture and design, the Coomba All-Stars speak a unique and complex language through the medium of Santur (Coomba),  Violin (Rocio Ibacache), Alto/Tenor Sax  (Matt Lee), Bass (Tim Merrikin), Percussion (Rendra Freestone) and Kit (Tim Bradley).

In late Feb ’26 Coomba All-Stars released their debut single ‘Arrawarra’ and followed it up shortly afterwards with

sold out launches in both Sydney and the Central Coast.

They have played the Woodford Folk Festival 25/26, Bundanoon Folk Festival (’25) Majors Creek Festival (’24), Marrickville Music Festival (’24), Illawarra Folk Festival (24), Global Groove Festival @ Sydney Fringe Festival (23) and Bayside Festival (23).

Coomba All-Stars have shared the stage with crowd favourites such as The Strides, Rhythm Hunters, Midnight Tea Party, On The Stoop, Ile Ilu and Aljamia.

The music is a collection of thoughts and promises inspired by the wandering path of travelled experiences that have been gathered up during life and spread across an aural spectrum.
